Royal Caribbean that owns and operates the world’s largest fleet of cruise liners will launch ‘Oasis of the Seas’ the world’s biggest cruise ship in 2011. The cruise ship will carry about 5400 passengers, 1600 crew members and it has a registered gross tonnage of 200,000 tons. Starting from December 2010, Caribbean will debut cruises on ‘Allure of the Seas’ and offer seven-night alternating eastern and western cruises.

Besides the large cruise ships, the year 2010 will also witness new smaller cruise ships such as Costa Cruises, MSC Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruises, and P&O Cruises. Even in the jet age, the cruise ship is the only way for exploring certain geographies of the world such as Arctic and Antarctic. A Cruise Ship is very much like a floating hotel with large number of hospitality staff in addition to the crew members of the ship. In fact, in many of the cruise ship 2010, you will find more number of staff members than passengers.
